Suspect in gangland killings could be in Niagara - St. Catharines Standard - Ontario, CA

Suspect in gangland killings could be in Niagara - St. Catharines Standard - Ontario, CA: "former St. Catharines man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for two gang-related killings in Vancouver could be hiding out in the Garden City, police say.

Royal Canadian Mounted Police issued an arrest warrant for Cory 'Frankie' Vallee, 34, alleging he and other members of the United Nations Gang killed two members of a rival gang in notorious B.C. shootings dating back to May 2008 and February 2009.

Vallee is also accused of the attempted murder of a bystander who was injured at one of the shootings and conspiracy to commit murder of rival gangsters.

Several members of the UN Gang are in custody facing charges in the killings, but officers with the RCMP's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team haven't yet been able to track down Vallee.

While he moved out west from St. Catharines years ago, police believe it's possible he might seek refuge in the area.

'We're not certain he's there. We're thinking he may be there. He's from there and still has links there,' Cpl. Dale Carr said Friday in a phone interview from Vancouver."

Barnet ace: I’m Mad Frankie’s grandson | The Sun |Sport|Football

Barnet ace: I’m Mad Frankie’s grandson | The Sun |Sport|Football: "For his grandad is notorious London gangster 'Mad' Frankie Fraser.

Frankie has spent 42 of his 87 years in prison - after mixing with 1960s gangland figures the Kray twins and Charlie and Eddie Richardson.

An Arsenal fan, he now organises gangland tours of London's East End. But as far as Barnet's new midfield recruit is concerned, 'Mad' Frankie is simply grandad.

Fraser, 23, who moved to Underhill from Port Vale as a free agent during the transfer window, is keen to play down his grandfather's notoriety.

He said: 'I couldn't tell you anything he's done and I've never read a book about it.

'I'm not really interested - he's just my grandad as far as I'm concerned. I've had a bit of stick about it over the years but I never listen to it so it's not a problem.

'He lives in London and he does what he has to do but it's got nothing to do with my football. Like every grandad, he gives me advice but I wouldn't really take advice from him about football.'"

Ger Dundon (23), Weston, Limerick; and David McCormack (26),Gangland figures handed five-year sentences

Ger Dundon (23), of Hyde Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, Limerick; and David McCormack (26), of Crecora Avenue, Ballinacurra Weston, pleaded guilty to committing violent disorder at Sarsfield Avenue, Garryowen, Limerick, on February 17 last year.

The cases were not sent forward to the three-judge non-jury court under new anti-gangland laws, but were forwarded under existing legislation that allows the Director of Public Prosecutions to send non-terrorist cases for trial at the court.

Chief Supt of the Limerick garda division David Sheahan told the court the charges against the pair arose following attempts by others to collect €20,000 they believed they were owed by nightclub promoter Mark Heffernan (27).

He said that although the two accused were not involved in earlier attempts to get the money, there was 'linkage' between events that eventually culminated in a group of men chasing Mr Heffernan across Limerick city on February 17.

Dundon, a father of three, has 99 previous convictions. McCormack has 19 previous convictions."
